Honoring Officer Anthony Elliott

Officer Anthony “Ant” Elliott was only 29 years old. In the seven years he served Louisville, he was known as a loyal friend, a devoted son, a proud police officer, and someone who could bring humor into the lives of those around him. No family ever plans to lose a son this young. His parents, family, and his brothers and sisters in blue are now facing an unimaginable loss and the difficult responsibilities that come with it, and they need our help with the expenses that come with laying a loved one to rest. To his fellow officers, he was “Ant” or “Elliott.” He was fiercely loyal to his team, proud of his work protecting the community, and committed to the mission of keeping others safe. He didn’t just wear the badge; he lived the meaning of it every day. Anthony was known for his quick humor and confidence. He loved trivia and had a habit of knowing the most unexpected facts, to the point where his friends stopped questioning him because he was usually right. And when he wasn’t, he never seemed concerned. His fellow officers still laugh about the time he spent an entire 3 on 3 game against the Second Division talking trash despite not scoring a single point. That was Ant, confident, present, and always bringing energy to those around him. He was a devoted Chicago Bears fan, loved Mustangs, enjoyed Woodford Reserve bourbon with friends, and on duty, Raising Cane’s chicken fingers and fries was his favorite stop.
