Support the Summit Wellness Center

Serving those who serve us.

The Summit Wellness Center for First Responders was created to help Louisville’s police officers and emergency workers combat the intense physical, psychological and emotional demands they face while serving our community. With a holistic approach focusing on building resilience in the mind, body and spirit through the five pillars of wellness (Mental, Physical, Spiritual, Social and Financial), the center helps keep our officers healthier and more resilient. In addition, it enables these individuals and their families to thrive in the face of challenges and better navigate adversity.

Real Lives. Real Stories.

From increasing the ease of access to officers needing psychological services to reducing rehab recovery times to improving overall job performance, the Summit Wellness Center is serving as a true model for law enforcement support – garnering world-wide attention with visits from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the International Association of Chiefs of Police and many others.
“We are honored to support the LMPD as part of their holistic approach to wellness. The high volume of officers and LMPD staff accessing our services every month shows that keeping the mind healthy and strong is as important as keeping the body healthy and strong.”
Dr. Sarah Shelton, President of Shelton Forensic Solutions Counseling Services
“We’re proud to provide facilities that deliver elite rehabilitation solutions to keep our first responders at work while dealing with injuries and return them to duty in a safe, efficient manner.”
Adam Grannan, Pro Team Tactical Performance Physical Therapist

The Impact it’s Making

At a time when officers often feel alone, the first thing they see at the Summit Wellness Center is a wall of support. There are so many good things happening – and the momentum continues to grow. In fact, we are honored that numerous police departments and foundations across the country have requested information about the Summit Wellness Center to serve as a model for their own communities. If you would like a summary of how this initiative came about as well as information about the lessons we’ve learned, please contact Rebecca Grignon-Reker at 502.409.9LMF (563) or Rebecca@saferlouisville.org.
